Established and served as Director of the Municipal Management Department of the Interior Ministry and served on numerous inter-ministerial committees and public commission including the State (Kubersky) Commission on Jerusalem.
Led the Capacity Building for Urban Planning in Ethiopia Project (WB project), Maseru Regional Framework and Integrated Urban and Transportation Plan (WB Project), Strategic Study of Metropolitan Tel Aviv, Planning for Metropolitan Transport Authorities for Jerusalem and Haifa (joint team leader) and more.
Presently serving as Project Team Leader for the Kampala Metropolitan Framework and Physical Development Plans (WB Project).
Hana Shapira
Urban Sociologist & Planner with over 25 years experience with diverse populations.
Brings extensive experience in Urban Planning specialising in Social Services and Public Participation in planning with unique experience in Urban Upgrading and Renewal.
Served as Lead Social Planner for the Maseru Regional Framework and Integrated Urban and Transportation Plan. In this framework she directed the mobilisation and participation of hundreds of stakeholders and civil society representatives. She is presently serving as Lead Urban Social & Economic Planner for the Kampala Metropolitan Framework and Physical Development Plans (WB projects) In this framework she has also directed the mobilisation and participation of over a thousand stakeholders and civil society representatives, specifically including informal settlements and the wider informal sectors.
